Wildlife of Kerala
Day 01 Thiruvananthapuram
After pick up from the airport and transfer to a beach resort at Somatheeram, you have the day at your disposal to spend it in leisure.

Day 02 Somatheeram
Daylong sightseeing. You have two options:
Option I: Trip to Padmanabhapuram Palace
Option II: Tour of Trivandrum city.

Day 03 Somatheeram
You have the day to relax on the wonderful beach or go fishing with the local fishermen in the traditional catamaran or rejuvenate yourself with a relaxing Ayurvedic treatment at the resort.

Day 04 Alleppey
Drive through the green coastal belt and cashew plantations to reach Alleppey, which is the hub of the Backwater network. Stay in a traditional Kerala house opening right into the Vembanad Lake, surrounded by banana plantations. Day free to spend relaxing with the option of getting a herbal oil message. Relish authentic Kerala cuisine served in the traditional way.

Day 05 Alleppey
Day spent observing the life on the backwaters. Includes a visit to the coir making factory, a temple and to bathe the elephants at the elephant-rearing center.

Day 06 Kumarakom
Sail through the backwater canals to reach Kumarakom. This island has a beautiful bird sanctuary and a serene atmosphere. Stay at Taj Garden Retreat, this wonderful resort has rooms that are restored tharawads.

Day 07 Kumarakom
You have the day free to either relax or explore the island.

Day 08 Periyar
Drive through rubber plantations and dense forest on the mountains to reach Periyar National Park. This jungle is one of the best places in India to watch the wild elephants. You have the day free to explore the jungle on your own.

Day 09 Periyar
Tour the National Park by boat over the Periyar Lake, where you can watch different wild animals congregate at different times of the day.

Day 10 Munnar
Take a picturesque drive through jungles, spice plantations and by waterfalls, to reach the high ranges of Munnar. Munnar is the highest and the most beautiful tea-growing region in India. After resting for a while, visit the tea factory.

Day 11 Munnar
Visit the Eravikkulam National Park to see the endangered Niligir Tahr. After this you have rest of the day free to visit the picturesque spots around Munnar.

Day 12 Kochi
Drive to Kochi, which is the cultural and commercial hub of Kerala. Watch a spectacular Kathakali performance along with its make-up process. The evening is free to explore the vibrant markets.

Day 13 Kochi
A day sightseeing at Fort Kochi, visit the Mattancherry palace, Jewish synagogue, Jew town, old spice markets, St. Francis church, Santa Cruz Basilica and Chinese fishing nets. In the evening visit Kalari center to witness Kalaripayattu. Kalaripayattu is an ancient martial art of Kerala.

Day 14 Kochi
Check out and departure for onward journey.
